I have a BS in Natural Resources with Distinction in Research from Cornell University.
I'm currently Associate Midwest Editor for The Architect's Newspaper, an environmental blogger for WBEZ, and a staff writer for Chicagoist.
My work has appeared in The New York Times' Green blog, Next American City, ScienceDaily, New Scientist, The Architect's Newspaper, Chicagoist, Time Out Chicago, The Chicago Tribune's TribLocal, AOL's Patch.com, The Northwest Indiana Times, Chicago Jazz Magazine, The Cornell Daily Sun and elsewhere.
I was born and raised in the Albany, NY area. In addition to reading, writing and photography, I enjoy playing electric bass, guitar and ukulele and have played in rock/pop/fusion/surf/ska bands.
